The African Guitarist/Composer comparable to the Best of the World
The best guitarist of the year 2004, Medal by Canadian Embassy 2005, Ghana Music award for the best instrumentalist nominee 2012.
Owura states that his primary musical influences are African music, jazz and rock. Some of the most prominent musicians who have inspired him are Richard Bona, Peter White, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Ernest Ranglin, and, of course, Hugh Masekela.
Owura joined the Magic System Band from La Cote d`Ivoire, Mega Star Band, Ghana and
Kojo Antwi`s backing band with the top musician Kwame Yeboah a multi instrumentalist, arranger and songwriter.
Many major musical festivals in Algeria, Mali (Segu Mali Festival), South Africa (World Cup 2010), Burkina Faso (Film Festival 2007), Denmark and many more, called for his participation.
He also has played with a number of foreign and top Ghanaian Musicians like Hugh Masekela, Steve Wonder, Salif Keita, Freddy Meiway, Osibisa, Tic Tac, Becca, Magic System, Gimmy Dludlu, Sonti Ndebele, Ramblers Band. Ohia b3y3 ya band, Shabo Crew, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Kojo Antwi, Pat Thomas, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Amandzeba, Nana Kwame Ampadu, Nana Tuffour, Paapa Yankson, Mega Star band, National Theatre Resident band, CK Man, Bessa Simeons, Ben Brako, Stephani Benson, Lee Duodu, Jewel Ackah, Agya Koo Nimoh, George Darko, Sarkodie, Charles Amoah, Eddy Quansah, Bob James.
After playing with this artists featured at the first Dream Child Concert in Ghana, Scratch Studios record label decided to sign him on.
In 2016 he has been part of The Stanbic Jazz Festival.
He has his own band and their passion is Jazz but they also play Highlife, Afrobeat and Reggae
